Wednesday 9 October - today we headed north into the Alto Adige an autonomous region on the border with Austria. The drive up through the valleys was exceptionally pretty and we stopped for coffee at a small place over looking the the rushing river with rafters on it.
Our destination was Bolzano which turned out to be a bit of surprise. A busy town with a market and lots of teutonic visitors ! Everything was in german and italian !
