Today we managed a 1000 start as it a 286 km journey to Jodhpur and our final destination this trip. As we moved eastwards the vegetation became less harsh and everything a little more green !
Our main stop of the day was at Pokaran which has a dark red sandstone fort which was dates from the 14th century. Today it is also a hotel which has a small number of rooms and a very grand looking restaurant reminiscent of our stay in Matheran.

However the highlight was the attendant who had a repertoire of 26 standard locations to bring out the best of your pictures in the Fort - INR 50 well spent !
We reached our final destination the Raas hotel in Jodhpur at about 1600. The hotel itself is in the old city but to get there we had to drive through what are best described as the bustling and busy streets of modern Jodhpur - which is a city of nearly a million.
The hotel itself sits below the fort that dominates the town and is very modern although built on the site of an old haveli.
