Friday 4 May - the morning started slow and although cloudy things are warm and dry.
Today we headed by road to Baisha Town and the Dragon Bridge from where we were to travel sedately through the countryside on a genuine bamboo raft propelled by person power.
As always in China, tourism needs to cater for the masses, so there were lots of raft. As each carried two persons on a chair tied to the raft we needed two rafts and off we headed downstream. The peaceful drift was only interupted by the occasional weir which regulated the flow of the water downstream.
All in all it took an hour to get back to the village and then a short walk through the paddy fields back to the Secret Garden.
