Today we had a new driver as yesterday our’s was called away to a new job. Amrit is however a native of jodhpur which gives an edge - so today following the Lonely Planet advice we headed off to the village of Slaws and a co-operative hurry outlet - Rooraj Dhurry Udyog. It was a very good set-up with a compound resembling a traditional Rajasthan farmhouse. The quality was undoubtably there but so were the prices. Unfortunately we actually did not see a pattern we really liked so tasked the driver with some more outlets.
After one again with no luck we ended up at Roop Riyaz Durry Udhyog an a lady proprietor who really drove a hard bargain ! But we bought a wool and camel hair hurry at 6x9 !! Success !!
A few other side trips to Big Bazaar for Fox’s mints, Ayuervedic cough mixture, lemons and ginger and back to the hotel. For dinner we headed to a Tripadvisor suggestion Indique on the roof of the Pal Haveli just inside the main gate. Good food !
