Sunday 6 October - Sunday is quiet in Italy so we thought we would see how Slovenia fared.
However our first stop was in Muggia a small and quaint village originally a fishing village and now a place for the burghers of Trieste to park their yachts and cabin crusiers.
The Tom Tom asked would we like to go on unpaved roads - that sounded ominous so we said no. As it turned out Tom Tom did not take a lot of notice and we headed off up narrow steep roads until we came to an unmanned border crossing and it announced we were in Slovenia.
The roasd of Slovenia turned out to be as good as those of Italy and we headed along the coast to what was billed as a small fishing village of Izola.
